For many of us, Thanksgiving is all about food, family and football. But if you’re among the more than 321,800 Twin Cities-area residents who live in poverty or experience food insecurity, Thanksgiving is just another Thursday.

Union Gospel Mission was founded 117 years ago, and since 1958, it has provided Thanksgiving groceries to people who are homeless, homebound, hungry or hurting.

Thrivent Financial and Union Gospel Mission have teamed up again this year to help raise money for the Mission’s Thanksgiving food distribution. Last year, with your help, the Mission gave nearly 60,000 meals to hungry families in our community.
